Question: Is there a market for gold coin, and how much is this gold coin possibly worth? (Posted by: T E on 2009-11-27 07:35:46) I just received a gold coin earlier today with a chinese logon on it from a close friend with a yesterday invoice price of HK$12,236 (about US$1,500) for a "good" favour I did for him. The coin is 999.9% gold, with its value of HK$11,790 based on its actual weight. With additional labour charge of HK$210, and HK$235.80 commission, it totals to HK$12,236. Is there a market for gold coin because I have no use for this gold coin? And if so, how much can I possibly sell it for - at 80% of its HK$12,236 yesterday value? |

Coin dealers typically pay less than 80% of current value, but you should be able to shop around using the last link below to search for dealers specializing in world gold. You might also check on eBay to see if there are any coins similar to yours selling or recently sold there. I hope that helps. |
